After we have completed your dog’s obedience training we will give you a complete, hands-on instruction session when we deliver it back home. (This only applies to the board & train program). |

| Question: |
My dog lives in the house. How will he/she adapt to living in a kennel while being trained? |
| Answer: |
Since all dogs are placed with a playmate of the same age and temperament, your dog will think he/she is at a “playground.” However, most dogs do stay in the house with me, and are kept on a similar schedule to what they are accustomed to. I prefer to keep them with me as much as possible so their manners training is a 24/7 type thing. |

| Question: |
Will my dog miss our family while away for training? |
| Answer: |
Putting your dog with another dog of the same age and temperament will alleviate most of the stress involved with being in a new environment. Dogs are very resilient and most adapt very well to their environment at Leader of the Pack! Most dogs have a ball here, and are well adjusted to their routine after two or three days with me. |

| Question: |
What type of training will my dog be receiving? |
| Answer: |
At Leader of the Pack we use a program based on the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Program. The AKC has spent much time, money, and energy to develop a certified obedience program that is structured for the pet dog. By using this program, the client is assured that the dog will meet a strict set of guidelines, and that they will be a happy member of the family. I also structure the behavioral portion to your specific needs so that we work on all aspects of your dogs personality and your needs. |

| Question: |
Is the training program guaranteed? |
| Answer: |
It is impossible to guarantee the results of every dog in any training program. What we can guarantee is that your dog will be taught the basic commands described under Program 1 and that the dog will stay with us until you are satisfied with the results. Follow up classes are included in the cost of Program 1 and allow you to continue working with your dog and address any problems you may be having. |

| Question: |
How long will my dog have to be away? |
|
Answer:
Question:
Answer: |
Our typical training period is 2-3 weeks. Some dogs do require more time, especially during busy holiday periods and times of extreme weather. We try to keep the time away at a minimum, but the results are the same as you would see in other training schools 4-6 week programs. Regardless of the time required, the program cost remains the same.
What types of payments do you accept, and when is it due?
Cash or check is preferred, but I do accept credit cards through paypal. At least half of your payment is due at the time the dog comes to training, and the final amount is due upon delivery. If you have special circumstances, please contact me to discuss it before we make arrangements for your dog to come to school. I am happy to work with you! |
